EMPIRE TRADE UNIONS

Conference Early In 1943 (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, September 30. It was announced at a meeting of the Trades Union Congress General Council that a Commonwealth trade union conference will be held in London, probably early in 1943. The general secretary, Sir Walter Citrine, has discussed the arrangements with the various High Commissioners. Assistance has been promised from the Governments of Canada, New Zealand and South Africa. Messages of approval have been received from Canadian, New Zealand and South African trade union centres.
