PIPING COMPETITIONS
J. H. PARK (Waiwera South), complains that the bodies which conducted the piping and dancing competitions in Invercargill on September 19 acted unfairly in debarring one piper from competing. He thinks that such competitions should not be held unless all are treated equally. [This letter was referred to Mr M. C. Wilson, secretary of the Invercargill Caledonian Society, who stated that entries closed on September 5, late entries being received up to September 8. The entry of the piper concerned was received on September 15, the day on which the programmes were received from the printers. The committee had decided to accept no late entries.]
