Becoming Fair (Special) WELLINGTON, Sept. 29. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate to fresh south-westerly to westerly wind. An isolated shower or two at first on the coast, but the weather becoming fair; cool to moderate temperatures. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was cold and overcast with a strong westerly wind. Heavy rain fell during the morning and early afternoon. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was mild and heavily overcast with light rain falling. The barometer reading was 30.04 in (steady). The Tides.—High water, Invercargill, 6.33 a.m.; 6.50 p.m. Bluff, 5.52 a.m.; 6.15 p.m. Riverton, 4.52 a.m.; 5.15 p.m. Oreti Beach, 5.01 a.m.; 5.24 p.m. The Sun.—Rises, 6.23 a.m.; sets, 6.53 p.m.
