FORCES CLUB BEER BAR CLOSED

(PA.) WELLINGTON, September 38. A decision by the dub management to close the beer bar of the New Zealand Forces Club in Cairo is announced in a report to the National Patriotic Fund Board by its overseas commissioner, LieutenantColonel F. Waite. According to the report, this step was taken so as to reduce the military staffs in all base units and also for other reasons, and was approved by the commander of the New Zealand Division. Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Freyberg. Lieutenant-Colonel Waite adds that, although it has been dedded to dose the bar, troop* will still be able to get beer at the camp canteens from 6 to 9 o’dock every evening.
