CYCLIST KILLED

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, September 25. When a light delivery van collided with two cyclists at Epsom, Neville Rex Newby, aged 23, of Sandringham, was killed instantly and Desmond Williams was slightly injured. The men were cycling home when the van struck them. The van swerved on to two veranda posts and came to rest against a power pole. It was so badly damaged that it had to be towed away.
