Changeable and Showery (Special) WELLINGTON, Sept. 25. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Strong south-westerly winds. The weather changeable with some further showers of rain or sleet, but slowly improving; temperatures cold. There was a heavy fall of snow in Invercargill yesterday morning. It disappeared in the afternoon. At 1 o'clock this morning the weather was cold, calm and partly overcast. The barometer reading was 29.74 in (rising).
