FARMING APPEALS HEARD

The Southland Armed Forces Appeal Board concluded four busy days at its sitting in Invercargill yesterday, when 54 cases were heard, the majority being by farmers or on behalf of farm workers. The board will sit in Invercargill next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and at Gore on Friday. The board consisted of Messrs E. H. Mumey (chairman). D. W. Stalker and D. H. Cochbum, with Mr J. W. Hinchey as secretary and Crown representative. Wilton, Ltd., for James Henry Chisnail, branch manager, was dismissed as from December 31; and one by Reginald J. Lawrence was withdrawn as at December 31.
