SALE FAT WETHERS DEARER There was an increase ‘of from 1Z- to 1/6 for ewes in the fat sheep section at the Lomevllle stock sale yesterday. The store cattle entry was the smallest for the year and values were easier. Thpre was a high percentage of hoggets in the store sheep ■ entry and these brought up to 31/3. FAT SHEEP— The yarding was slightly larger than last week with a better percentage of wethers, the majority of which were of quite good quality The entry of ewes was about the same size in numbers as last week, but poorer in quality. Values for wethers were on a similar basis, but ewes I improved to the extent of 1/6 to 2/- on last week's rates. Best quality wethefs brought to 37/9, prime quality 36/- to 36/9, medium 32/- to 33/6, light and unfinished down to 29/-. Best quality ewer made to 25/9, medium 22/- to 23/6, unfinished 18/6 to 20/6, with freezing ewes from 14/- to 16/6. FAT LAMBS. — There was a full yarding in this section but as is to be expected at the end of the season the majority was light and unfinished. Only a few lots of really good quality lambs were included in the entry. Competition which was confined almost wholly to exporters was quite keen and values obtained were right up to export schedule rates and in many cases in excess. Prime quality freezing lambs brought from 27/6 to 29/3, medium quality 24/- to 25/6, light and unfinished from 20/to 22/6. FAT CATTLE.— With the exception of a few pens of bullocks the fat cattle section was made up mostly of cows and heifers, = the majority of which were aged and unfinished. The yarding was slightly smaller I than last week's. Prices for prime bullocks were up to last week's rates, but cows of all classes were to a certain extent easier 1 than last week. Heavyweight bullocks reali ized up to £l7, prime quality £l4/10/- to 1 £l5/15/-, handy-weights £l3 to £l3/15/-, s lightweights £lO/15/- to £ll/10/-, prime e quality heifers up to £l2, medium weights S £lO/5/- to £ll, with light weights £8 15/- - to £9/10/-, small £6/15/- to £7/10/-; good quality cows up to £9/10/-, medium quality e £7/10/- to £B/15/-, unfinished £5/10/- to £6/5/-, inferior £3/10/- to £4/10/-. STORE CATTLE.— OnIy four pens of e store cattle were entered and there was a *> small attendance of buyers, values being easier. Best empty cows made up to £5, d average cows £3 to £4 and cull sorts down - to £l. A pen of Red Poll Shorthorn cross steers made £4. In the dairy section an advertised herd averaged close on £9. Outi, side of this best cows at profit made up I to £l2, best heifers to £B/10/-, others from S £5/10/- to £7 and factory calvers from £4 II to £5.

STORE SHEEP.— Hoggets comprised the bulk of the store sheep entry, which was slightly larger than last week’s. A pen of full-mouth ewes made up to 27/-, other good ewes making from 22/- to 24/-. Best failingmouth ewes brought up to 17/-, low-con-ditioned sorts 11/- to 14/- and culls down to 9/-. Store wethers made from 27/- to 28/6, best ewe hoggets sold at up to 31/3 with smaller from 23/- to 26/-. A pen of goodconditioned wether lambs made 23/-, wellgrown carry-over sorts brought from 16/6 to 18/- and smaller sorts down to 12/-. McNAB STOCK SALE There was an average demand at the fortnightly McNab stock sale yesterday when a good yarding of cattle and a medium yarding of sheep were forward, In the cattle section bullocks made from £7/12/6 to £ll 2/6, other prices being £lO, £9/10/- and £B/17/6. A line of 18 store bullocks brought £7/9/-. In the sheep section a line of twoshear ewes realized 35/- and another line brought 31/6. Four and five-shear ewes sold at 18/6 and full-mouth ewes brought 21/-. Fat ewes made from 21/9 to 23/3 and fat wethers brought 30/-. DOMINION BREWERIES’ DIVIDEND (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 9. Dominion Breweries Ltd. recommend a final dividend of 3 per cent., making 7 per cent, for the year.
