Rain Developing (Special) WELLINGTON, June 9. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Moderate northerly winds gradually freshening. The weather fair at first, but scattered rain developing in the western ranges; temperatures becoming milder. Further outlook unsettled. In Invercargill yesterday the weather was fine and cold. In the evening the sky became clear and the atmosphere was frosty.
THE TIDES— High water, Invercargill, 12.10 a.m., 12.32 p.m.; Bluff, 11.51 a.m., ; Riverton, 10.51 a.m., 11.13 p.m.; Oreti Beach, 11.00 a.m., 11.22 p.m. THE SUN—Rises 6.34 a.m.; sets 7.20 p.m.
