Fair; Coastal Showers
(Special) WELLINGTON, June 8. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Westerly winds strong at first near the coast, otherwise moderate. The weather fair apart from a few coastal showers; temperatures cool. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was cold and overcast with a fresh wind from the west. In the early evening there were several heavy showers and the wind increased in force.
The Tides.—High water: Invercargill, 11.46 a.m., —: Bluff, 11.05 a.m., 11.29 p.m.; Riverton. 10.05 a.m., 10.29 p.m.; Oreti Beach, 10.14 a.m.. 10.38 p.m. The Sun. —Rises 8.26 a.m.; sets. 5.16 p.m.
