CASUALTIES IN AIR FORCE
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 7. The following New Zealand air personnel serving overseas have been reported casualties. All are members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force with the rank of sergeant unless otherwise stated:— BROWNE, STANLEY FRANKLIN, missing on air operations; mother, Mrs E. M. Browne, Wellington. COOKSON, DOUGLAS GORDON, missing on air operations; mother, Mrs R. M. Cookson, Christchurch. DUNKLEY, KEITH ARTHUR, missing on air operations; father. Mr E. H. Dunkley, Oamaru. GUTHRIE, TREVOR ALEXANDER, missing on air operations; mother, Mrs L. Guthrie, Wanganui. HARKENESS, D.F.C., ACTING SQUADRON LEADER DONALD JOSEPH, missing on air operations; father, Mr G. P. Harkeness, Midhurst. PETER GORDON, dangerously injured in an aircraft- accident; mother, Mrs M. Hillyer, Paraparaumu. KING, PILOT OFFICER DOUGLAS GEORGE, missing on air operations; father, Mr A. J. King, Palmerston North. McKENNA, CONAL FRANCIS, missing on air operations; father, Mr P. S. McKenna, Patea. MULLIGAN, PILOT OFFICER WALTER BARTON, missing on air operations; mother. Mrs S. Mulligan. Wellington. KIRKE, FLIGHT-SERGEANT FRANK SKIPWITH, previously reported missing believed prisoner of war, now confirmed prisoner of war. of Wellington. KNOBLOCH. FLIGHT-SERGEANT REGINALD ERIC, previously reported missing on air operations, now reclassified as missing believed killed, of Waipukurau. McKAY. FLIGHT-SERGEANT LACHLAN, previously reported missing, now reclassified as a prisoner of war, of Waipawa. SHARP. ELWYN HAMILTON, previously reported missing, now reclassified as a prisoner of war, of Auckland.
