DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF B.B.C. RESIGNS

LONDON, January 27. Mr F. W. Ogilvie, Director-General of the 8.8. C., has resigned in order to facilitate reorganization. Sir Cedric Graves, Deputy Director-General, and Mr Robert Foot, adviser on war-time organization, have been appointed joint Directors-General for the duration of the war.

The Daily Express says it was known for several weeks that there had been differences of opinion concerning the policy of the British Broadcasting Corporation between Mr Ogilvie and the Ministry of Information. The change clearly points to the Ministry’s complete control of home broadcasting.
