NATIONAL SAVINGS DISPLAY CARDS

The district organizer of National Savings, Mr W. G. Nield, has received a number of sets of six counter display cards and posters for exhibition at post offices and business premises to stimulate the National Savings campaign. The cards and posters are striking in appearance and are in white on a blue background. The following are samples of the inscriptions printed on the cards: —

“Half measures can’t win an all-in war.” “Some of us lend for Victory; many only hope.” “A free people must pay to retain their freedom or perish.” Up to Thursday £3160 was received in National Savings investments at Invercargill, exceeding the quota by £lll7.
