JACK DEMPSEY JOINS STATE GUARD
(Rec. 5.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 22. Jack Dempsey, who was not accepted for the Army because he is over age, was today sworn in as a lieutenant in the New York State Guard. He was assigned as an aide-de-camp to the commander, General Ottman.
