APPLE SANDWICH Three small apples, cinnamon to taste, 3oz butter, J cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon cream of tartar, % teaspoon soda. Slice and cover apples with cinnamon in a very little water. Drain. Cream butter and sugar, add egg, beat again, add dry ingredients. Take half mixture, shape to a round, roll out on a cold oven tray to biscuit thickness. .Spread with apple, roll out other piece of mixture, place on top. Prick oyer and pinch edges. Bake twenty to thirty minutes. Cut into slices when cold.
