SOUTH AFRICAN WAR CASUALTIES
(Rec. 10 p.m.) CAPE TOWN, January 20 General Smuts announced that South African casualties since the outbreak of the war to January 14 were: 476 killed, 1273 wounded, 1624 missing, and 1756 taken prisoner. The figures included 97 coloured troops wounded, and 627 missing.
