FRUIT CAKE Half pound butter, jib brown sugar, lib flour, J cup milk, 3 eggs, 2lb golden syrup, f teaspoon soda, | teaspoon cream of tartar, lib raisins, 1 tablespoon marmalade, spice, almond and vanilla essence.

Method —Cream butter and sugar. Add well-beaten eggs separately, then syrup, marmalade, fruit, flour, and spice well mixed. Lastly add soda dissolved in milk. Bake 3| hours.
