INSPECTOR H. MARTIN, of Christchurch, who has arrived in Invercargill to assume charge of the Southland police district. He served at Bluff and Gore as a sergeant some years ago and recently he has been stationed at Christchurch as inspector. He was temporarily in charge at Invercargill for a short period last year.
