“TONS OF MONEY”

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL PRESENTATION “Tons of Money,” the London comedy success, was played to another crowded house at the Civic Theatre last night. The play is being presented by the Invercargill Repertory Society to raise money for the patriotic fund and considering the worthy object it is pleasing to see that it is meeting with such support. However, apart from the object, the players deserve the success they have achieved. Comedy is a difficult medium for amateurs to present successfully, but the members of the Invercargill Repertory Society responsible for the presentation of “Tons of Money” have triumphantly avoided all the pitfalls and the result for the audience is hilarious entertainment. All the players deserve credit for their work. The pace of the play was well maintained and the fun was never allowed to flag. “Tons of Money” will be presented for the last time this evening.
