MR WALTER E. BETHEL (Rec. 6.30 pm.) SYDNEY, Sept. 9. The death has occurred of Mr Walter E. Bethel, the educationalist and writer of Australian history and former head of the Child Welfare Department of New South Wales. He was aged 78 years. VISCOUNT DONERAILE (Rec. 7.10 pm.) LONDON, Sept. 8. The death has occurred oi Viscount Doneraile. The title passes to his brother, the Hon. Hugh St. Leger, who for many years was sheepfarming in the northern part of New Zealand.
