BRIDGE DAMAGED

The railing on the Stead street bridge has been damaged on the west side and about 15 feet of the woodwork has been torn away. The damage was done sometime during the week-end and it is presumed that the accident occurred when a car skidded on the greasy surface. Temporary repairs have been made and red lights have been erected to warn motorists.
