NEW TANK BOARD IN BRITAIN

(8.0.W.) RUGBY, July 27. The Minister of Supply (Lord Beaverbrook) has appointed a new tank board consisting of Mr Geoffrey Burton (chairman), Mr Oliver Lucas, in charge of design and development, and Mr George Usher, Director-General of Tank Supply. The Secretary for War (Captain David Margesson) has appointed to the board Major-General G. N. Macready, Assistant Chief of 'the General Staff, and Major-General V. V. Pope, Director of Armoured Fighting Vehicles.

Colonel Green, of Mr W. Averell Harriman’s mission from Washington, will advise on design and production and act as liaison officer with the United States.
