CROQUET
WAIHOPAI CLUB The annual meeting of the Waihopai Croquet Club was held on Saturday. Mrs R. G. Morrison, president, presided over a full attendance of members. The following officers were elected: President, Mrs G. T. Stevens; senior vice-president, Mrs H. P. Alabaster; junior vice-president, Mrs R. Winning; secretary and treasurer, Mrs R. G. Morrison; club captain, Mrs F. C. Blanch; deputy captain, Mrs Murray; committee, Mesdames Winning, Blanch, Johnston, Gormack and Smith; auditor, Mr H. P. Alabaster; social committee, Mesdames Gormack, McDonald, Noble and Hopkins. Congratulations were extended to the winners of club competitions and centre tournament competitions. Opening day was fixed for September 27.
