PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 26. Captain J. H. Hall, who is posted as missing, was appointed public relations officer on arrival in Egypt with New Zealand troops which had been in Britain for some time. He left New Zealand as official war correspondent and in addition to his recently acquired duties he continued as a war correspondent when the opportunity offered. The last despatch received from Captain Hall in Greece was dated from Athens on April 21.

[Captain Hall was born at Edendale and was at one time a member of the literary staff of The Southland Times.]
