EQUIPMENT FOR FIRE FIGHTING
The share of the South Invercargill Borough Council in the cost of additional fife-fighting equipment required in Invercargill to reach major emergency standard was briefly discussed by the council last night. It was stated that the Invercargill City Council would be called on to pay £9OO, of which a proportion would be refunded by South Invercargill. On the suggestion of Cr D. Harris it was decided to hold over a decision until the cost of the equipinent actually required in South Invercargill could be computed.
