GERMAN PLOTTERS FOILED
(Received January 17, 9 p.m.) LONDON, January 17. The Daily Mail says that the authorities discovered and speedily foiled the German Intelligence Service’s plot to destroy public works, bridges and railways in Britain. They have circulated a secret document to all railway chiefs warning them of the plotters’ methods and outlining defensive measures. Britain’s 600,000 railway workers are enrolling in an anti-spy system.
