EDENDALE

METHODIST CHURCH A concert in aid of the Home Mission funds of the Methodist Church was held in the Edendale Town Hall on Tuesday evening there being a good attendance. The following programme was given by an Invercargill party under the leadership of Mr W. Withers: —Solo, Mr R. Sloan; piano-accordion solo, Mrs Lemin; violin solo, Mr R. Fraser; cornet solo, Miss Doris Millar; song, Mr M. Oldes; song, Miss M. Harvey, A.T.C.L.; tap dance, Mr Jenkins; song, Miss Cameron; monologue, Miss M. Harvey; guitar trio, Miss Donovan and pupils; mouth organ solo, Mr W. Eastlake; piano-accordeon solo, Mrs Lemin. The accompanist was Miss Ruth Wesney. At the conclusion the Rev. N. Challenger thanked Mr Withers and party for coming out and for the programme they had so bountifully rendered. After replying, Mr Withers presented prizes, donated by the. superintendent of the Sunday School, to the girl and boy who had sold the most tickets for the contert. They were Miss Thelma Challenger and Master Duncan. The coiicert then concluded with the singihg. of the National Anthem.
