Mr and Mrs W. E. Hunt entertained a number of friends at their new home at Titipua on Saturday evening. Mrs G. Pinckney, Glenaray, Waikaia, is the guest of Mrs A. Hope, Wai-iti road, Timaru. Mrs Basil Unwin, Glenaray, Waikaia, who has been the guest of Mrs K. de Castro, Timaru, spent the week-end with Miss Juliet Kain, Gladstone Park, Orari, South Canterbury.
Mrs W. F. Edmond and Mrs W. Fraser Edmond (Dunedin) and Mr and Mrs P. Amos (Mataura) were recent callers at New Zealand House, The Strand, London. The engagement is announced of Elma Mary, only daughter of Mr and Mrs R. W. Felton, Wharenoho, Hororata, and Stuart James, only son of the late Mr and Mrs W. E, Hunt, Woodlands, Southland, and nephew of Mr and Mrs T. E. Pearson, Oranga, Hororata.
