PIED PIPER OF HAMELIN

The pupils of Mrs Liddell and Miss Harvey will present the pantomime “The Pied Piper of Hamelin” in Victoria Hall on Thursday. Miss Harvey will take the part of the Pied Piper and Shirley Lilley makes an ideal Mayor of Hamelin. The pupils have been rehearsing strenuously for the past three months and everything points to a successful production. Duos, solos and dances with effective costumes will be introduced and a lilac scene should prove popular. Mrs Liddell has devoted special attention to the elocution and Miss Beryl Johnson will sirig the song “Fifty Million Robins Can’t Be Wrong,” followed by a bright display of tap dancing. The orchestra of eight instruments under the direction of Mr Howard Moody will be an added attraction.
