Mr T. H. Richardson, of the Department of Marketing, Wellington, who has been visiting Bluff, leaves Invercargill by the express this morning on his return north. Mr W. Forrester, district vice-presi-dent for Otago and Southland of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association, will arrive in Invercargill today to attend the reunion of the Invercargill Returned Soldiers* Association tonight. Cr G. W. Whittingham, chairman of the Southland County Council, was welcomed back to the council table at the meeting of the council yesterday. Cr L. A. Niederer, on behalf of the council, complimented the chainnanon the good recovery he had made from his illness.
