To prevent a cork falling out of a bottle when travelling put a strapping of adhesive paper over the top, or draw on the finger of a kid or wash-leather glove and tie it down. To prevent pictures being affected by any damp, place a small piece of cork on the back and when the picture is hung it will not touch the wall.
