PAN-AMERICAN AIRWAYS
DELAY IN ARRIVAL OF RADIO EQUIPMENT (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 6. Over-carried to Sydney by the Matson liner Monterey when she passed through Auckland on November 26, part of the specially made radio equipment sent from the United States for Pan-American Airways stations in New Zealand .will not reach Auckland again until the liner returns next Monday. Though the delay is causing inconvenience, it is not expected to result in a postponement of the Honolulu-Auck-land flight, scheduled to begin about December 15. The absence of part of the equipment was not immediately discovered. It was at first thought that the whole of the consignment of goods for Pan-American Airways had been landed and it was not until a start was made with unpacking, with a view to assembling the sets that the vital parts were found to be missing. It was then learned that they had been over-carried to Sydney.
