FIFTH PLUNKET SHIELD TEAM DISCUSSED (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 20. At the annual conference tonight of representatives of the Wellington Cricket Association and minor associations in the Plunket Shield area the question of the admission of a fifth Plunket Shield team, consisting of players of minor associations in the Wellington area, was discussed. A motion was carried, country delegates only voting. It was decided to request the New Zealand Association to adopt an eightball over and to hold a Town versus Country match on December 15 and 16. It was agreed to forward a remit to the New Zealand Association requesting the adoption of the new rule for a batsman taking two minutes only to take his place at the crease, or else the wicket be lost.
