BREACHES OF GAMING ACT

FINES TOTALLING £250 IMPOSED (United Press Association) WHANGAREI, October 20. Fines totalling £250 were imposed on three people charged with breaches of the Gaming Act before Mr J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., this morning. ‘ _ Arthur • Lawrence Lambess ana Charles Schon were each fined £lOO on a charge of using their premises as a common gaming house, while Ch® rles Thomas Arthur Clark was fined £5O on a similar charge. The charge of keeping a common gaming house against Charles Neil McLeod McKinnon was dismissed, the Magistrate stating that defendant had just taken over the premises and the property found there might not have been his.
