MR SAVAGE’S INTEREST IN TELEVISION

VISIT TO MANUFACTURING PLANT LONDON, June 16. The New Zealand Prime Minister (Mr M. J. Savage) visited the largest broadcasting manufacturing plant of Electrical Musical Industries Limited, whose television system has been adopted by the British Broadcasting Corporation, and inspected the latest developments in broadcasting television with a view to its application in New Zealand. Mr Savage will visit Smithfield _ tomorrow and will go to Hull on Friday as the guest of the Lord Mayor. He will visit the docks and discuss the extension of direct trade between Hull and New Zealand.
