NEW TAX ON PROFITS
OUTLINE TO BE GIVEN THIS WEEK (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, June 14. The financial resolution to be introduced in the House of Commons this week will give a general outline of the new tax on the profits of industry, to take the place of the national defence contribution which was contemplated, but later withdrawn. It is expected that the financial resolution will be introduced in the House of Commons tomorrow, but details of the new tax will probably not be disclosed until new clauses embodying its proposals relative to the Finance Bill are prepared. All the other clauses of the Bill have been passed bv the House of Commons.
