SERIOUS RIOTS IN PENNSYLVANIA

NINE INJURED IN CLASH WITH POLICE (Received June 15, 9.50 p.m.) NEW YORK, June 15. Five persons, including a young boy and a girl, were injured when strikers rioted at the Bethlehem steel works, Johnstown (Pennsylvania) The injured increased to nine when police using tear gas and revolvers, broke up the most serious of a series of all-night .riots. Four persons were admitted to hospital and one will probably die. Feeling is running high among the non-strikers, who resent the order for a coal strike given by Mr John L. Lewis, president of the Committee for Industrial Organization. They fear that the factories will shut down because of lack of fuel.
