ALBERTA GOVERNMENT BEATEN
RESIGNATION MAY RESULT (Received March 26, 6.30 p.m.) EDMONTON, March 25. Beaten on an adjournrhent motion by 27 votes to 25, the Premier of Alberta (Mr W. Aberhart) gave notice of the closure of the Budget debate, which will be resumed on Monday. A Government spokesman declares that if the Budget is defeated the Government will resign. Twenty-one insurgents demand the immediate launching of a definite plan of social credit on Major Douglas’s lines.
