DARK ROSE WINS MEMORIAL (United Press Association) GREYMOUTH, March 27. ’ The Greymouth Jockey Club’s Autumn meeting opened today. Showers commenced before the fourth race. The track was slightly yielding. There was a large attendance. The totalizator handled £5444 compared with £5966 last year, an increase of £478. Results were: — NOVICE STAKES, £6O. AUCKLAND RACING CLUB FIRST DAY’S EVENTS POSTPONED (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 27. Owing to continuous heavy rain and the state of the track, the Auckland Racing Club has decided to postpone the opening of its autumn meeting till Monday. The second day will be held on Tuesday.
