GENERAL NOTES The Union Company’s Intercolonial passenger steamer Marama sailed late yesterday afternoon for Melbourne with passengers, mails and general cargo. The Shaw, Savill liner Mamari arrived early yesterday morning to begin her Southland loading for the English market. The Scout arrived with cased fish from Stewart Island at 10.20 a.m. yesterday and sailed for the Island again at 3.15 p.m. The Britannia sailed at 9 a.m. yesterday for Stewart Island and returned with cased fish at 4.30 p.m. The Union Company s steamer Wainui was expected to finish working last night and sail for Dunedin. Dalgety and Company report that the Waipawa, which was due at Bluff yesterday, has been delayed and will now reach here tomorrow. • Advice has been received by the Union Company that the Rangitata is expected to arrive at Wellington on March 12. The Mamari arrived at Bluff from Timaru yesterday. She sails tomorrow for Lyttelton.
