Miss D. Philps, Dunedin, is the guest of Mr and Mrs E. Frame, Wyndham Ridges. . . . Mrs J. Young, Wyndham, is visiting her mother, Mrs Todd, of Invercargill. Mrs Anderson, Fortrose, who has been the guest of Mrs W. O. C. McKay, Wyndham, returned home on Thursday. Mr and Mrs James Henderson, Menzies Ferry, accompanied by Mrs J. C. Fraser, are on a motor tour of North Otago and South Canterbury. The brethren of Lodge Mokoreta held a successful ball in the Masonic social hall. Music was supplied by the Bellbird orchestra and two extras by Mr J. Halliday, jun. Messrs J. C. Fraser and W. F. Bennetto were masters of ceremonies. Among those present were: —Mr and Mrs C. A dance was held by the Menzies Ferry Football Club in the Menzies Ferry Hall to assist Mr W. Baird, an injured player. Music was provided by Brown’s orchestra, with extras by Miss M. McLauchlan and Mrs R. Erskine. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss H. Strang and Mr F. Flack, and a lucky spot by Miss M. McLauchlan and Mr L. Crosbie.
