DUNEDIN LOAN RENEWED

PROMPTLY TAKEN UP. (United Press Association.) Dunedin, August 14. A Dunedin council renewal loan of £25,000 was immediately taken up by the Dunedin Savings Bank at the rate of 3/ per cent. This is a loan which will be redeemed by half-yearly payments spread over a period of 20 years. Mr A. Silverstone (chairman of the Finance Committee of the City Council (states that the promptness with which this renewal loan was taken up is a clear indication of the confidence of financial institutions in the stability of the city and of its value as a medium for the investment of money.
