NATIONAL PARTY

DUNEDIN SUPPORTERS MEET. PROMISE OF HARMONY. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, June 6. A representative meeting of members of Reform and United Party organizations was held to-night. The Hon. F. Waite, M.L.C., outlined the steps that had so far been taken in consolidating forces and supporting a national government. In Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and in many country electorates joint meetings had been held. After a general discussion of the political situation, it was agreed that there would be no difficulty in working together in Dunedin. The following resolution was unanimously agreed to:—“That this meeting of Reform and United supporters in Dunedin is of the opinion that party differences should cease, and agrees to work harmoniously together in one organization in support of National Government candidates.”
