TE TUA NOTES

FLAG 500. (From Our Correspondent.) The fortnightly “flag 500” evening in aid of the Basketball Club was held in the school on Tuesday evening. There was a fair attendance of players. Mrs W. Sutherland was successful in winning the first prize and Mr G. McKay the second prize for most flags for the evening. A short dance was held at the conclusion of cards. Miss Lennie Knowler was pianiste. Mr and Mrs J. Potter, Waikaka, were the guests of Mr and Mrs B. C. Horrell during the week-end. Miss Nan Alderson, Invercargill, spent a few days, with her mother, Mrs R. Alderson.
