FLOOD DISASTER
KANSAS AND NEBRASKA ENORMOUS PROPERTY DAMAGE • 200 REPORTED DEAD (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright. (Rec. 7 p.m.) Kansas City, June 3. Floods which have swept Missouri Valley watershed for the past few days extended southward to-day, threatening an increased death roll, which now stands at 200, about 140 of whom were in Nebraska. The flooded Republican river, which caused most of the casualties over the week-end, is now threatening a section in the vicinity of Junction City (Kansas). It is estimated that the property damage in the States of Nebraska, Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming and Missouri exceeds 25,000,000 dollars. The Red Cross Society mobilized relief for homeless families, which number thousands. By an odd freak of nature dust storms which recently swept over the areas not flooded, again appeared in Oklahoma and Texas, which are still suffering from lack of rainfall. DOWNPOUR IN MEXICO 122 BODIES RECOVERED. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 7.0 p.m.) Mexico City, June 3. Official reports state that 122 bodies were recovered on Monday night after torrential rains swept a number of mountain-side towns in Mexico. Xochimilco, twelve miles from the capital, reported two hours after a storm started that torrents swept residents and homes down into the valley.
