WOMAN COLLAPSES
OVERCOME WITH JOY. (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright.) (Rec. 10 p.m.) Sydney, June 3. Overcome with joy at the prospects of a reunion with her brother after 35 years, Mrs Mary Gregory, the elderly wife of Alfred Gregory, of Willsboro, Auckland, collapsed and died while the Monowai was coming to her berth at Sydney this afternoon. Her brother, Mr W. Queripel, of Rozelle, heard the tragic news immediately he boarded the Monowai. He was extremely distressed. He explained that he recently rediscovered his sister by means of a vaguely addressed card sent by the Jubilee Air mail upon which his sister decided to come to Australia to visit him. A message from Auckland says that Mrs Gregory, who lived with her husband at Mt Rpskill, last saw her .brother 35 years ago when he visited Auckland. Mr Gregory said to-night that although his wife had not seen he - .’ brother for such a long time, they had maintained correspondence and she had decided eventually to make the trip to Sydney to see him again.
