INVERCARGILL CLUB YESTERDAY’S FIXTURE' The Invercargill Whippet Racing Club held its June the 3rd meeting on the club’s track, Oteramika Road, yesterday. A good attendance of the public witnessed some excellent racing, local owners winning most of the prizes. The Dunedin owner, Mr F. Tanner, won the King George Cup, and the same owner’s nomination, Happy Days, was second in the Birthday Cup. Tfie local dog Flying Shadow, who recently won the New Zealand St Leger at Dunedin, won a double for Mr J. R. Aitken in annexing both the Birthday Cup and the. Open Hurdles.
