DRIVER ACQUITTED

CHARGE OF NEGLIGENCE. SEQUEL TO FATALITY. (Per United Press Association.) Hastings, May 31. On the direction of his Honour Mr Justice Blair the jury in the Supreme Court at Napier, without retiring, acquitted Arnold John Loader on the charge that on or about January 24, 1935, he negligently drove a motor truck and caused the death of a young girl named Helen Amy Cater. The charge was the sequel to a fatal accident at Whakatu.
