CONFERENCE AT ROTORUA. DELEGATES ARRIVING. (Per United Press Association.) Rotorua, February 18. The delegates to the annual Press conference assembled at Rotorua today and the proceedings commence on Tuesday. The delegates now in Rotorua include Sir Cecil Leys (N.Z. Newspapers), Messrs Henry Horton and Ron Horton (N.Z. Herald), J. Coombe (Palmerston North Standard), R. H. Billens (Palmerston North Times), C. W Earl (Dominion, Wellington), W. J. Blundell and Ernest Blundell (Evening Post, Wellington), R. B. Bell (Ashburton Guardian), A. M. Burns (Press, Christchurch), E. Bell (Times and Star, Christchurch), E. C. Huie (Sun, Christchurch), W. Easton (Otago Daily Times), C. Stanley Smith (Star, Dunedin), W. Bisset (Times, Invercargill), E. Abbey Jones (News, Invercargill), Len Muir (Herald, Gisborne), E. G. Kerr, A. J. Allport, (Herald, Timaru), A. 8.-- Lane (manager of the United Press Association). Advertising and commercial firms connected with the business side of the newspaper industry are well represented and it is expected the conference, which will continue till Friday, will be a successful one. A number of delegates are expected to arrive tomorrow.
