WAGES INCREASED
MEN ON COASTAL STEAMERS. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, February 18. An agreement has been reached between the Shipowners’ Federation and the Federated Cooks’ and Stewards’ Union of New Zealand whereby an increase of 5 per cent, has been agreed upon for all coastal companies’ steamers from December 1, 1934. The conditions of employment remain the same as prior to the old award, dated October 31, 1931.
